Tessa and I met when i was Executive Director of The Vera Project (VERA), an all ages, youth-led music venue and arts space in the heart of Seattle. Tessa started as a volunteer -- enthusiastic, solutions-oriented, optimistic -- and elevated her commitment to the organization by joining the Board of Directors. It is in this context where we built our professional friendship, the fruits of which benefited the community young punks who called VERA home.
In partnership, Tessa engaged the youth-led membership in contributing to organization-wide strategic planning and rebranding efforts, utilizing her community-centric marketing expertise as the organization was in transition and growing. Tessa's voracious energy also played a role in successful community-based fundraising efforts, as well, ensuring VERA's fiscal stability and health.
If given the opportunity, I'd work with Tessa again in a heartbeat. Her optimism and community-oriented, relational approach is infectious. She's able to build a values-driven culture from the ground up. A value to any team, and a sure-bet for senior leadership and strategy development. Highly recommended is an understatement."

"Enthusiastic, Optimistic, Driven and Hard-Working are just a few adjectives to describe my observations of Tessa's character.
She joined the M3F festival as a Brand Ambassador and quickly became a strong team contributor and team leader for junior brand ambassadors. After serving during her first festival season with us, she returned to become a desperately needed resource in establishing university and local business relationships in the valley. Tessa was always willing to meet to strategize next steps with our Brand Ambassador team and quickly became more of a brand advisor than contracted brand ambassador leader. Tessa's experience with previous large festivals and events was leveraged at the on-site need of our most recent season where she jumped into a role of media management and onsite primary contact for all media attendees.
